Classic Ford Show returned to Santa Pod Raceway for 2013 for the 10th Anniversary and there was no holding back for the birthday celebrations! There was a record number of Classic Fords on the strip, thousands of club displays, live action and one of the biggest birthday cakes that we have ever seen with the proceeds going towards Help for Heroes!

Blue Oval fans across the UK and Europe all came together to celebrate what can only be described as one of the best in Classic Ford Show history; an outstanding selection of Classic Fords on the scene and a gathering of like minded classic Fords fans all came to admire the style, speed and evolution of these cars. Even the sun came out to play and shone all day on the candy coloured classics that flocked to the show.

Live Action

If you weren’t there, imagine crowds all sat on the grass near the drag strip, sun-bathing, having a nice cold drink and watching the amazing action that took place on the strip – a perfect summer’s day. The old hands of the scene took on some keen novices to battle it out for the best times on the clock. The Jet Car was certainly one to test the clock (and your hearing) with its Sikorsky CH-54A Helicopter engine booming through the venue.

Paul Swift

Paul Swift is known best for his gravity defying stunts that wow the crowds all over the world! Starting from a young age Paul gracefully manoeuvres J-turns, handbrake parks and two-wheels that will make your toes curl and your jaws drop! There was a traditional battle of handling with the classic versus the new when he carried out a perfect drift demonstration in his own Mk1 Escort historic rally car for an unbelievable inch-perfect set high speed turn spin in a Focus ST.

10th Anniversary Club Showcase

To commemorate the 10th Anniversary, Classic Ford Show will be celebrating it’s most loyal and supportive clubs who have attended all or most years that the event has been running. These clubs will not only take pride of place at the show next to the Classic Ford stand.

Cavalcade

The clubs will be invited to take part in a cavalcade up the Santa Pod strip at 13:00. This will involve over 50 of these cars taking to the strip all at once for a celebration parade, the most cars on the strip since Classic Ford Show has existed! The key clubs to look out for are: Fiesta Club of GB, Ford Drivers Register, Turbosport, XR4 Register.
