The stopping power of this beast comes from two quad form parachutes used in conjunction with independent hydraulic brakes systems. The car is driven using throttle / afterburner control to determine the thrust from the jet.

Tickets for Troops is a registered charity that provides free tickets to musical, sporting, entertainment and cultural events for members of our Armed Forces as a mark of the country’s appreciation for their service.  Since the charities launch in 2009, over 290,000 tickets have been donated and over 110,000 troops have signed up to the scheme.

All serving members of Her Majesties Forces and those who have been medically discharged since the commencement of military action in Afghanistan in 2001 are eligible to register for Tickets for Troops. The Run What Ya Brung is an integral part of the Classic Ford Show, and uses Santa Pod’s legendary quarter-mile drag strip to test your car’s performance. There are five classes open to all road-legal classic Ford, with the quickest car in each class winning prizes.

RACE will also be bringing along their ex-Roger Clark Mk1 Escort to the show, which will be joining a special rally car display. The Escort was the last ever rally car built for Roger — to compete in a British Trials and Rally Drivers Association series — and features a lightweight, marathon-spec bodyshell originally built by Gartrac and a full-house Millington engine. This will be the first time the car has been seen at the show, so make sure you get along to the display for a good look!
