Drifting Demos!
New for 2010, two modified Fords will be doing it sideways in 3 demonstrations in the Action Arena. Head over to watch some tyre -burning drift action from an Mk2 Escort powered by a Cosworth YB turbo engine and a Sierra Sapphire powered by a Cosworth 24-valve engine!

Classic Ford-only Run What Ya Brung
See what your car can do on the world famous Santa Pod drag strip. Race your mates and get a print out to prove your times. Only £20 for 4 runs, buy your strip tickets on the day at the sign-on office. The strip is open from 10am (sign on from 9am) through to 5pm with a break for lunch. Quickest times of the day will win prizes, the winners announced at 4pm at the Classic Ford stand.

Ultimate Classic Ford
We’re launching a brand new event at the Classic Ford Show this year – Ultimate Classic Ford! Campers arriving on the Saturday afternoon (5th June) will be able to watch 30 classic Fords being put through their paces on the strip, handling circuit and showfield in a new competition designed to showcase readers’ skills and ingenuity in a practical discipline — and you can take part.

RS 40th Anniversary Display

Ford Rallye Sport celebrates its 40th anniversary this year, and Classic Ford magazine will be paying tribute by having an example of each type of RS model on display.

Drag Car Demos

The ever popular Classic Ford drag cars will be returning for 2010 with some familiar faces and cars as well as some new ones such as Ron Hasletts MkIII Cortina Estate as well as a V8 MkI and a MkII Zephyr. Also new for 2010, cars from the Outlaw Anglia class will be taking part in the dedicated drag demo's throughout the day which, since the formation of the class in 1992, make for some unique & spectacular Heads-up Drag racing which is not to be missed.

Pride of Ownership
If you’re keen to show off your classic Ford but are not a member of a club, you can put your car on display in the Pride of Ownership area – and our favourite cars will win a fantastic prize at the end of the day. We’re looking for anything that stands out from the crowd, from track cars to show cars, drag cars to fast-road cars, and everything in between. Our favourite in each of the following decades will win a prize: ’50s, ’60s, ’70s and ’80s.

The Great Unveiling

The Great Unveiling returns for its 3rd year showcasing the 09-10 best project cars around. If you’d like to enter, anything goes and we also have a new category for first-timers so if you are currently building your first car and it’s a Ford get involved! Head over to the Classic Ford Stand at 11am to watch as the covers are pulled back.

Rally Stage

The London Rally School will return to Classic Ford Show for another year of thrilling rally rides. Get a passenger ride in The Ford Escort RS2000 MkII which is undoubtedly the most successful rally car of all time. The Escort has won more world championship rallies than any other car in the history of the sport. Book your ride with an experienced Rally instructor on the day for just £10 and put your own car through its paces round the course for only £5 (no instructor).

Saturday Evening Entertainment

If you are making a weekend of it at Classic Ford Show make sure you get involved with the Saturday night shenanigans! There is plenty to keep you entertained including live bands, quizzes and DJ’s taking you into the early hours.

Auto Test

New for 2010 is the opportunity to see how well your classic Ford handles against the clock on a pre-determined course on the Classic Ford Autotest. Navigate your way around the cones to demonstrate manoeuvres such as slalom & 360 spins. Have a go for fun or compete to get one of the top ten times of the day which will put you in the running for a trophy for the fastest time of the day, which will be presented from the Classic Ford magazine stand. Sign up on the day for free at the Autotest area.

Fireforce Jet Car

No Santa Pod event would be complete without the staggeringly fast Fire-force jet car powering up the strip! If you haven’t seen this before it is quite an event, the Jet Car has explosive thrust of over 5500lbs which is enough for you to blink and miss it so make sure you head to the banking and feel the force!

Kids Entertainment

There is plenty to keep the kids entertained at Classic Ford Show on top of the great strip action running throughout the day, making a great day out for the family. With bouncy castles, inflatable footie, slides and the fun fair you can guarantee the kids will love it!
