Power & Style Awards - Martin Hil

Martin Hill’s Ford Capri 3.0 Ghia

Bought by myself in 1981 when less than 2 years old. Sold 6 months later and bought back again as “scrap” in 1990. Stored outside for 22 years until restoration in 2011/12. Restored back to factory standard.

Power & Style Awards - Robert Swann

Robert Swann’s Ford MK1 Escort RS 2000

Where to begin… I purchased the escort as a completed project apparently, however after a little investigation into body work condition and after replacing the engine (which self destructed on the drive home)

Power & Style Awards - Robert Ransom

Robert Ransom’s Ford Fiesta

Got the car a year ago, it was a standard car. i first fitted a CVH turbo, blew that up, then from that I’ve fitted a ZX9R engine fwd bike engine, half cage, Weller Racing wheels, full paint job to top it off plus it has a great sound track.

Power & Style Awards - Gary Anderson

Gary Anderson’s Escort L MkII

Ford Escort L MkII. Running a 2ltr 205 Pinto block with a Sierra T9 gear box. Had a respray. Struts never welded. Trying to keep the shell standard.

Power & Style Awards - Anthony Last

Anthony Last’s Ford Granada

I’ve owned my Granada for 8 years, in that time I’ve rebuilt most of it. It’s running a 2.9 Clone engine with a carb not injection. It has a Ghia X interior. It used to have a Bob Cosworth engine fitted but it went bang, too much right foot.

Power & Style Awards - David Ashton

David Ashton’s Ford Cortina

MkIII Cortina 2000 GXL in Tawny Brown with black vinyl roof. Beige cloth interior and original period features. Largely to original specifications but has some modern replacement parts including classic black silicone hoses

Power & Style Awards - Wayne Champion

Wayne Champion’s Ford Capri

I bought the car back in 2011 from a guy in Wales, the car had already had the Cosworth conversion carried out by Tickover, it was std Laser painted in grey. Paint work was tatty but shell looked solid. Bought it home and started to tidy it up a bit.

Power & Style Awards - Simon Hoar

Simon Hoar’s Ford Capri

Owned 5+ years. Subject to a 2500 HR bare shell restoration by myself and my Dad. Original colour of Signal Orange. Highly detailed and body coloured underside. Detailed engine bay. Mint Carla CHQ fishnet interior

Power & Style Awards - Jason Poole

Jason Poole’s Ford Cortina

My car is an un-welded shell and well looked after. 2.0 Pinto, stage 3 head, FR32 camshaft, 5 speed Type 9 gearbox, quickshift lever. 15″ steel Wellers sidepipe exhaust. Black Recaro’s. Coilovers and rear Gaz shocks, polybushed.
